After a string of four wins, Squalicum's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were dealt a 73-29 loss at the hands of the Lynden Christian Lyncs. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Lyncs are ranked 18th).

Squalicum's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Lynden Christian, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Squalicum has already played their next game (against Sedro-Woolley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lynden Christian will head out on the road to challenge Anacortes at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lynden Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Anacortes likes a good challenge.
