Basketball Recap: Spring Grove Finds Home Court Redemption Against Leroy-Ostrander

There's no place like home for Spring Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the LeRoy-Ostrander Cardinals 68-50 on Thursday. The Lions' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

LeRoy-Ostrander lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ryder Stern, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Stern is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Reid Hungerholt was another key player, putting up 17 points and three steals.

Spring Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for LeRoy-Ostrander, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Spring Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 68-42 loss against Southland on the 24th. LeRoy-Ostrander has also already played their next contest, a 74-68 win against Kingsland on the 24th.
