Soccer Game Preview: Loyola Academy vs. Chicago Mt. Carmel

The Loyola Academy Ramblers will take on the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Loyola Academy is headed into Tuesday's contest following a draw, the team's first since August 25. They and Saint Ignatius College Prep finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Chicago Mt. Carmel has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 15. They played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Mansueto. That draw made it three straight for Chicago Mt. Carmel.

With that draw, Chicago Mt. Carmel's record moves to 6-5-4. As for Loyola Academy, they moved theirs to 7-5-2.

Loyola Academy suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Chicago Mt. Carmel in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Ramblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
