Softball Recap: Fishers Tigers vs. New Prairie Cougars
It was a proper cat-fight when Fishers faced off against New Prairie on Friday. The Tigers skirted past the Cougars 4-2.

Kate Murray was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.
Murray wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Kinder, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brooke Clayton also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Fishers' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for New Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coming up, Fishers will face off against Noblesville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for New Prairie, they will take on Boonville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
