Basketball Recap: Father Lopez Has No Trouble Against Cocoa Beach + How To Watch

Father Lopez won the last time they faced Cocoa Beach and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Green Wave strolled past the Minutemen with points to spare, taking the game 44-28. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Green Wave.

Despite the loss, Cocoa Beach saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tristan Louis posted six points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for Louis. Another player making a difference was Yiorgos Xirouchakis, who earned eight points.

Father Lopez's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Cocoa Beach, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Father Lopez will take on Geneva at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Green Wave will need to watch out since the Knights have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Cocoa Beach, they will square off against Satellite at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
