Concord had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Newark Memorial Cougars by a score of 35-26. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 28-15 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.
