Basketball Recap: Vaughn Biddix's Big Game Can't Quite Lead DC International over William Allen

If DC International was riding high fresh off their 54-34 takedown of Maya Angelou Public Charter last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The DC International Dragons lost 72-51 to the William Allen Canaries on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Dragons came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 25th in District of Columbia, while the Canaries are ranked 135th in Pennsylvania).

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Vaughn Biddix, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points. Those 14 points gave Biddix a new career-high. Gavin Moore was another key player, putting up 12 points.

DC International now has a losing record at 10-11. As for William Allen, their record now sits at 11-6.

DC International has already played their next matchup (against Banneker Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. William Allen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-60 loss against Parkland on the 21st.
