Basketball Recap: Kenyon-Wanamingo Comes Up Short

Kenyon-Wanamingo lost against Goodhue back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights lost 84-62 to the Goodhue Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Wildcats are ranked 85th).

Kenyon-Wanamingo's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Goodhue, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenyon-Wanamingo will welcome Triton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kenyon-Wanamingo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Triton likes a good challenge. As for Goodhue, they will challenge Byron at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Goodhue surely won't give up without a fight.
