Volleyball Recap: Steeleville Takes a Loss

Steeleville lost against Marissa/Coulterville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Meteors by a score of 2-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Marissa/Coulterville can attribute much of their success to Kearston Alstat, who had seven digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Alstat a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Analiese Howell, who had seven digs and two aces.

Steeleville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Marissa/Coulterville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-5.

Steeleville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against New Athens on the 4th. As for Marissa/Coulterville, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Trico on the 4th.
