Basketball Recap: Random Lake Comes Up Short

Random Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets and fell 70-23. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while the Rockets are ranked 224th).

Random Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, they moved to 10-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Random Lake will square off against Mishicot at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, they will head out to challenge Sheboygan Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Cedar Grove-Belgium knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 games -- so hopefully Sheboygan Christian likes a good challenge.
