Softball Recap: Mother McAuley Comes Up Short

Mother McAuley managed to slip by De La Salle the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mighty Macs came up short against the Meteors on Monday, falling 13-0. The Mighty Macs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Meteors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mother McAuley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for De La Salle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mother McAuley will head out to face off against Montini Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mighty Macs surely won't give up without a fight. As for De La Salle, they are taking a road trip to square off against Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blazers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.33 runs per game on average), something the Meteors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
