Volleyball Recap: Northwest Guilford Falls Despite Big Games from Emary Moore and Cali Straub + How To Watch

After flying high against Southern Alamance on Wednesday, Northwest Guilford came back down to earth. The Vikings took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northern Guilford Nighthawks on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Nighthawks: they've now lost nine in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 20-25, 25-19.

Northwest Guilford's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cali Straub, who had 13 digs and four assists, and Emary Moore, who had five assists and three digs. Straub is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played. Ali Burgess also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Northwest Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Northern Guilford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Coming up, Northwest Guilford will welcome Southern Alamance at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northern Guilford, they will face off against Asheboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Nighthawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
