Recap: Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings vs. Crawford Rams
The Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings lost against the Crawford Rams back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Guernsey-Sunrise was outmatched by Crawford at home and fell 70-40. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Guernsey-Sunrise came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 45th in Wyoming, while Crawford is ranked 172nd in Nebraska).
Leading Crawford to victory were Taylor Homan and Carter Rudloff. Homan scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Rudloff dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rudloff has scored all season. Roman Gilmore-Metz was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Guernsey-Sunrise's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Crawford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guernsey-Sunrise will take on Banner County at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crawford, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hyannis. Hyannis is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
