Football Game Preview: East Wake Warriors vs. Vance County Vipers

The East Wake Warriors will challenge the Vance County Vipers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

East Wake's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Franklinton on Friday. They took a 13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Rams. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Vance County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 42-33 to Heritage. On the bright side, the 33- point performance marked the Vipers' highest-scoring contest to date.

East Wake will have to contain Zion Thornton as he made an impact in Vance County's last game. He rushed for 83 yards and three scores.
