Volleyball Recap: Wilde Lake Falls to Howard in First Game of Season

Wilde Lake unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Howard Lions on Thursday. If the Wildecats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wilde Lake took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-3, 25-7, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Miranda Ball, who had six aces and four digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Howard has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Wilde Lake will square off against Long Reach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Howard, they will welcome Atholton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
