Recap: Hillsborough Raiders vs. Rutgers Prep Argonauts

The Hillsborough Raiders pushed their score all the way to 67 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 73-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rutgers Prep. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (57), Hillsborough still had to take the loss.

Hillsborough's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Philip Unangst, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Unangst has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholas Losch, who scored 15 points.

Hillsborough has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Rutgers Prep, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.

Hillsborough will head out on the road to square off against Montgomery at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hillsborough is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. As for Rutgers Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paul VI at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
