Watauga is a perfect 10-0 against South Caldwell since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pioneers will head out to square off against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. South Caldwell took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Watauga, who comes in off a win.

Watauga's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Ashe County. The win made it back-to-back victories for Watauga.

Meanwhile, South Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Hibriten. That's two games in a row now that South Caldwell have lost by just one goal.

Watauga pushed their record up to 7-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those five contests. As for South Caldwell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Watauga took their win against South Caldwell in their previous meeting on April 1st by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
