Preview: Lakeside Lutheran Warriors vs. Delavan-Darien Comets
Lakeside Lutheran has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Delavan-Darien Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lakeside Lutheran's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lakeside Lutheran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 69-65 victory over Milton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Wes Rahn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 21 rebounds. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Kooper Mlsna was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Delavan-Darien's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The matchup between Delavan-Darien and Monroe wasn't particularly close, with Delavan-Darien falling 69-52.
Lakeside Lutheran pushed their record up to 9-0 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Delavan-Darien, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
