AAA Beach recap Sept. 26, 2012
Ocean Lakes extended the longest winning streak in AAA Beach this week by beating First Colonial, 50-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Dolphins.
Ocean Lakes was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Patriots 50-14. Chris Scott's team came in at 7 in the state poll after placing at number 34 last week.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Salem and the Dolphins. The Sundevils comes into the matchup ranked first in the state, while Ocean Lakes ranks seventh.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when Salem and the Dolphins meet this week. Robert Jackson's team features well-regarded senior Bucky Hodges while Ocean Lakes has Jason Lewis, a sought after sophomore.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Sundevils take on the Dolphins. Salem has allowed 30 points this season, while Ocean Lakes has given up 49. The Sundevils allowed 0 points last week as they topped Green Run.
The Dolphins moved up to 7 from 34 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Ocean Lakes was able to make the jump by beating First Colonial 50-14.
