Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for North Union

North Union won the last time they faced Lake Mills and things went their way on Monday too. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 victory over the Bulldogs.

North Union pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Mills, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

North Union didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-3 win against West Hancock on the 10th. As for Lake Mills, they will challenge North Iowa at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
