Monterey Trail lost against Franklin back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 16-25, 25-12.

Callie Neufeld paced Monterey Trail's offense, picking up 11 kills. Neufeld got some help from Xumai Nguyen and her ten assists. Neufeld was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Monterey Trail's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Franklin, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
