Softball Game Preview: Scott Skyhawks vs. Sissonville Indians

Scott hasn't had much luck against Sissonville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Skyhawks will take on the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Scott's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Sissonville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Scott is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Roane County with a sharp 26-8 win on Wednesday. Considering the Skyhawks have won 13 games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Sissonville faced Scott in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Indians skirted past the Skyhawks 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Skyhawks: they've now won three in a row.

Jozey Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sissonville's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Parcell, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Sissonville's victory bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Scott, their win bumped their record up to 22-7.
