Softball Recap: Mohonasen Warriors vs. Ichabod Crane Riders

Mohonasen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 14-1 walloping at the hands of the Ichabod Crane Riders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mohonasen of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Ichabod Crane's part, Kari Graziano made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Graziano was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Abbey Milazzo was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ava Heffner, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Mohonasen's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Mohonasen will be playing at home against Cohoes at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ichabod Crane, they will head out on the road to challenge Albany Academy for Girls at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
