Basketball Recap: Heritage Classical Academy Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Heritage Classical Academy Griffins were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-34 to the Westside Christian Academy Eagles.

Westside Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Hazel Rogers, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points along with seven boards and five steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for Rogers. Another player making a difference was Anna Prugh, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Heritage Classical Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Westside Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Classical Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Westside Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for Westside Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
