Recap: Lisbon Broncos vs. Wahpeton Huskies
On Thursday, Lisbon came up short against Wahpeton and fell 58-50.
Lisbon lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kendra Differding, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Haecherl, who scored four points along with 17 rebounds.
Lisbon's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wahpeton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Lisbon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Valley City at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Wahpeton will finish 2023 at home by hosting Shanley at 3:00 p.m. on December 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Dakota (Shanley is ranked 93rd, while Wahpeton is ranked 78th).
