Buckhorn won the last time they faced Plainview and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bucks had just enough and edged out the Bears 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bucks.

Buckhorn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-14, 15-8.

Presley Adams paced Buckhorn's offense, picking up 11 kills. Adams got some help from Brooklynn Gonzalez and her 24 assists.

Buckhorn's record is now 29-13. As for Plainview, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 26-11 record.

Buckhorn and Plainview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Bucks will take on Foley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (28 vs. 171). Meanwhile, Plainview (ranked 59th) will meet Scottsboro (ranked 274th) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
