Baseball Game Preview: Elba Tigers vs. Brantley Bulldogs

Elba hasn't had much luck against Brantley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Elba Tigers will host the Brantley Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Elba has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Elba is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Brantley, falling 18-8. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Skylar Mitchell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Powell Bane, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Elba's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Brantley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
