Softball Recap: Addison Bulldogs vs. Danville Hawks

Addison extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-17-1 in the process. They came up short against the Danville Hawks, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2021.

As for Danville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 19-18. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th (when they won 15-0).

For Danville's part, Tamara Hutto and Izzy Guest made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Hutto tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Guest tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hutto has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. Addison and Danville are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on Meek at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Danville, they will host West Morgan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
