Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers vs. Heritage Coyotes

For the second straight game, Lebanon Trail will face off against Heritage. The Trail Blazers will challenge the Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Lebanon Trail is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over Heritage on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trail Blazers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Cade Jones tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Zack Goldberg was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Finnegan O'Brien, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Lebanon Trail was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19-1 record this season. As for Lebanon Trail, their record now sits at 3-13.
