Eden Prairie and Minnetonka are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Eden Prairie Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Minnetonka Skippers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Eden Prairie has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Minnetonka will arrive with three straight wins.

Last Monday, Eden Prairie was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 80-76 to St. Michael-Albertville.

Meanwhile, Minnetonka didn't have too much trouble with Buffalo on Monday as they won 67-51. Given the Skippers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Bison are ranked 67th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Minnetonka's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Eden Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Eden Prairie came up short against Minnetonka when the teams last played back in January, falling 64-53. Can Eden Prairie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
