Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newton County). They blew past the Ripley Tigers 19-4 on Saturday. Considering the Cougars have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Newton County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Ripley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Newton County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
