Volleyball Recap: Fitzgerald Takes a Loss

Fitzgerald saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Regina. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Regina's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cat Jenkins, who had nine assists and four aces. Marisa Vushaj also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Fitzgerald's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Regina, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11-1 record this season.

Fitzgerald has already played their next matchup (against Eastpointe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Regina also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Sterling Heights Stevenson.
