Softball Recap: Lakin Takes a Loss

Lakin was the 10-7 winner over Southwestern Heights when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Broncs lost 15-4 to the Mustangs on Tuesday. The contest marked the Broncs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lakin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taybree Lohman-Fuller, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Lakin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southwestern Heights, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat Lakin by a score of 17-0 later that day.
