Basketball Game Preview: Potsdam Sandstoners vs. Peru Nighthawks

The Potsdam Sandstoners will kick their season off against the Peru Nighthawks on Saturday. Tip off is scheduled at 1:00 p.m.

Potsdam will be up against a hot Peru squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. Peru blew past Northern Adirondack 63-21 on Tuesday. The Nighthawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 24 points or more this season.

They pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

As for Potsdam, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished 2-9.
