Sachse and Wylie are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long. The Sachse Mustangs will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Wylie Pirates at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Wylie heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Sachse took over last week. Sachse had just enough and edged Garland out 2-1.

Meanwhile, Wylie entered their tilt with North Garland on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Raiders a 4-0 shutout. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Raiders are ranked 582nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sachse is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Wylie, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
