Football Recap: Davenport Bulldogs vs. Coyle Bluejackets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Covington-Douglas, Davenport was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 31-22 win over the Coyle Bluejackets.
Davenport found their leader in freshman Chase Mitchell, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes.
Davenport's record is now 3-7. As for Coyle, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Davenport wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 52-7 defeat against Wilson-Henryetta on the 15th. Coyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
