The result came thanks to Haley Warney's shutout, as she gave up just two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kate McCartney, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Molly McFarland was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Ponderosa hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bella Vista came up short against Vista del Lago on Wednesday and fell 5-2. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Rosie Harrod was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Gambone, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.
Ponderosa pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bella Vista, they now have a losing record of 12-13.
Everything went Ponderosa's way against Bella Vista when the teams last played back in April, as Ponderosa made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
