Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lutheran lost against Churchill back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 2-1.

Lutheran started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-15.

Keira Fontaine paced Lutheran's offense, picking up nine kills. Fontaine got some help from Megan Baibak and her 19 assists. Finally, Emma Kolusk kept Lutheran's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18-4. As for Churchill, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-15-1.

Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Churchill, they will take on Farmington at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
