The Frederick Golden Eagles gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Everything went their way against Longmont as Frederick made off with a 5-1 victory. Emma Phillips was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in four goals all by herself.
Frederick will head out on the road to challenge Mead at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Longmont, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Greeley Central at 12:00 p.m.
