Basketball Recap: Mountain Pointe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mountain Pointe has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were beaten by the Horizon Huskies 51-22 on Thursday. If the Pride were looking for revenge after losing 53-32 to the Huskies when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Peyton Schiltz had a dynamite gamefor Horizon, shooting 48% from the field to rack up 23 points along with five assists and three blocks. That's the most assists Schiltz has posted since back in February of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisy Perkins, who scored three points in addition to nine blocks and seven rebounds.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Horizon, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Mountain Pointe will square off against Maricopa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pride will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.62 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Horizon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-38 win against Arizona College Prep on the 9th.
