If Charlotte Country Day School wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Charlotte Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Jamal Rule. The Knights took down the Buccaneers 55-38 on Friday thanks in part to Rule, who rushed for 284 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.8 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Charlotte Christian's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Charlotte Country Day School's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Braylon Clark, who picked up 172 receiving yards and three scores, and Achilles Morales, who threw for 287 yards and three TDs while completing 75.8% of his passes.

Charlotte Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.0 points over those games. As for Charlotte Country Day School, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.
