Basketball Game Preview: Northeastern Knights vs. Victory College Prep Bulldogs

The Northeastern Knights and the Victory College Prep Bulldogs will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northeastern has ten straight victories, Victory College Prep has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Northeastern needed a bit of extra time to put away New Castle. They secured a 57-51 W over the Trojans. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Trojans are ranked 307th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northeastern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaleb Moore led the charge by putting up eight points in addition to six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam White, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Victory College Prep lost to Indiana Math & Science Academy North at home by a 46-31 margin on Friday.

Northeastern's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Victory College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
