Allegan took an 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Galesburg-Augusta, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Rams 4-3 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Allegan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Burton, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Burton a new career-high. Tyler Thomas also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Galesburg-Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Allegan beat the Rams by a score of 4-2 later that day.
