Gorham and Biddeford are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Rams will square off against the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gorham will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
While Gorham's win against Westbrook wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Blue Blazes on Monday. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.
The result came thanks to Bella McBrady's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Biddeford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against Deering on Friday by a score of 15-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Considering the Tigers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Mariah Villandry was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaysie Mitchell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Biddeford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deering only managed two.
Gorham's record now sits at 4-0. As for Biddeford, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 2-4.
Biddeford's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Gorham has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. It's a different story for Biddeford, though, as they've only averaged .338. Will they be able to contain Gorham's hitters?
Everything went Gorham's way against Biddeford in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, as Gorham made off with a 17-3 victory. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
