Basketball Recap: Mainland Wins Going Away Against Colonial

On Thursday, the Mainland Buccaneers strolled past the Colonial Grenadiers with points to spare, taking the game 58-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

Mainland found their leader in sophomore Kade Manley, who went 9 for 17 en route to 23 points. Manley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Seven Simmons, who posted ten points.

Mainland now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Colonial, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8.

Mainland will take on North Florida Educational Institute in a tournament on Saturday. Mainland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season. As for Colonial, they will challenge Tate at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tate will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Colonial surely won't give up without a fight.
