Softball Recap: Independence Patriots vs. Spring Valley Timberwolves
Independence lost to Spring Valley back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Patriots came up short against the Timberwolves, falling 11-3. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Parks made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Stewart, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base.
Independence's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Spring Valley, their record is now 11-19.
Coming up, Independence will welcome Bluefield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Beavers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.42 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Spring Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Raceland at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Timberwolves surely won't give up without a fight.
