Basketball Recap: Flower Mound's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Monday

It was a proper cat-fight when Flower Mound challenged Melissa on Monday. The Flower Mound Jaguars snuck past the Melissa Cardinals with a 47-41 victory. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Cardinals are ranked 184th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Flower Mound's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Melissa, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.

Flower Mound has already played their next game, a 52-32 victory against Pearce on the 31st. As for Melissa, they will host Lovejoy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
