Baseball Recap: South County Comes Up Short

South County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Potomac Wolverines. The Stallions were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

South County's record is now 0-3. As for West Potomac, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, South County will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Potomac, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Woodson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
