Baseball Recap: Halfway Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Halfway took on Crocker on Wednesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Lions, falling 18-3. The Cardinals just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Shane Gallivan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Max McCarthy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

Halfway's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Crocker, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Halfway will head out on the road to challenge Richland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crocker, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Stover at 4:30 p.m.
