Softball Recap: West Monona Comes Up Short

The West Monona Spartans came up short against the Jefferson Yellowjackets on Monday and fell 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly three runs.

This is the second loss in a row for West Monona and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Jefferson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, West Monona is taking a road trip to face off against River Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lynx will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
